# Prepare a Robinhood Chain contract deployment

Use familiar EVM tooling with explicit network checks and verifiable build metadata.

## Begin with a reproducible build

Foundry and Hardhat can deploy EVM contracts to Robinhood Chain. The useful artifact is more than a contract address: retain the compiler version, optimizer settings, source revision, constructor arguments and linked libraries. Those details are needed to reproduce the bytecode and verify the deployment.

## A Foundry inspection workflow

```
forge build
cast chain-id --rpc-url "$RPC_URL"
cast balance "$DEPLOYER" --rpc-url "$RPC_URL"
forge inspect src/Counter.sol:Counter bytecode
```

Run these checks before authorizing a signed deployment. Use your tool's protected signer or keystore; do not paste a private key into a committed configuration. The example intentionally performs no deployment.

## Test before mainnet

1. Deploy the exact build to Robinhood testnet using chain ID 46630.
2. Inspect the deployment receipt and read eth\_getCode at the resulting address.
3. Exercise constructor-dependent and permissioned functions through a test account.
4. Verify source with the explorer using the same compiler settings, then repeat the network checks for a separately authorized mainnet release.

## Account for chain-specific behavior

Robinhood's deployment and Ethereum-differences documentation describe the chain's contract-size limits, gas model and Arbitrum precompiles. A successful local test is not a full simulation of sequencer behavior or L1-to-L2 messages. In Hardhat, keep a named network with its chain ID and RPC configuration rather than changing one global URL. Supanode RPC can carry supported calls; contract auditing, explorer verification and signing remain separate responsibilities.
